. This contract position is on-site, providing a unique opportunity to work closely with patients and contribute to their mental health and well-being.

As a Locum MD in Psychiatry, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating a variety of mental health disorders. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure comprehensive care and support for our patients, while also contributing to the overall improvement of our psychiatric services. This role is ideal for an associate-level physician looking to enhance their expertise in a supportive environment.

Responsibilities

• Conduct thorough psychiatric evaluations and assessments
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans for patients
• Provide ongoing psychotherapy and medication management
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure holistic patient care
• Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
• Document patient interactions and treatment plans accurately
• Participate in team meetings and case discussions
• Stay updated on the latest research and best practices in psychiatry

Requirements

• Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Psychiatry is preferred
• Valid medical license to practice in the state
• Strong clinical skills and knowledge of psychiatric disorders
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team
• Commitment to patient-centered care and ethical practices
• Previous experience in a psychiatric setting is a plus

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-4:30p

Call shifts required

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Duties: Diagnostic evaluation, treatment planning, medication management, follow-up care, etc.

EMR: CPRS

Any active, unrestricted medical license from any U.S. state or territory accepted

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
