As a Locum MD specializing in Radiation Oncology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients using advanced radiation therapies. You will work collaboratively with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans that align with the latest medical advancements and protocols. This role is pivotal in enhancing our patient care delivery, ensuring quality outcomes in a supportive and innovative environment.
Responsibilities
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations and assessments
- Develop and execute individualized radiation treatment plans
- Collaborate with medical staff to ensure coordinated patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment protocols as necessary
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and processes
- Stay updated on the latest research and advancements in Radiation Oncology
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings to discuss treatment strategies
- Maintain accurate and thorough medical records in compliance with regulations
Requirements
- Valid MD degree from an accredited medical school
- Associate-level experience in Radiation Oncology
- Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Current medical licenses and certifications relevant to the practice
- Experience with advanced radiation therapy techniques is preferred
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
Schedule: 7:30a-4:00p, specific shifts
No call requirement
Daily Volume: 19-25 patients
Support Staff: Nurse navigator, dosimetrist, and physician
Must be board-certified
