As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services and interpretations that are vital for patient care. You will work alongside a team of healthcare professionals, ensuring that diagnostic imaging meets the highest standards while contributing to the overall efficiency of our medical practice.

 

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
  • Interpret and analyze imaging results to assist in patient diagnosis
  • Collaborate with referring physicians to discuss imaging results and recommendations
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of patient examinations and findings
  • Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols in the imaging department
  • Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Provide education and guidance to patients regarding imaging procedures
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiology and imaging technologies

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD) with a valid medical license to practice in the state
  • Associate-level experience in Radiology
  • Strong knowledge of diagnostic imaging modalities and techniques
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Detail-oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care

Schedule: Weekdays, 8a-5p

Call: Weekdays (5p-8a) and weekends (Friday 5p-Monday 8a)

Daily Volume: 5-8 procedures

Required Procedures: Central venous access, percutaneous biopsy/drainage, mesenteric arteriography, venous/DVT/IVC filter, trauma embolization, nephrostomy/biliary

Must be board-certified
