As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and interpreting medical imaging results, ensuring high-quality healthcare delivery. You will work closely with a team of healthcare professionals to provide exceptional patient outcomes and contribute to various projects that enhance our services.
Responsibilities
- Interpret medical imaging studies, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
- Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams to determine patient diagnoses
- Provide accurate and timely reports on imaging results
- Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices
- Stay updated on advancements in radiology and medical imaging technologies
- Mentor and train junior staff when required
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current board certification in Radiology
- Valid medical license to practice in Texas
- Experience in interpreting various imaging modalities
- Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
Schedule: 1 week on / 3 weeks off
Shift: 9:00 PM – 6:00 AM
Case Mix: CT, ultrasound, plain films, and MR (body + neuro)
Focus: Primarily ER and STAT inpatient reads
Must be board-certified
