This contract position offers an excellent opportunity for medical professionals looking to provide essential radiology services on-site in a vibrant community setting.

As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a crucial role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. You will work collaboratively with other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality care and improve patient outcomes within our medical practice. 

Responsibilities

• Conduct diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
• Interpret imaging results and communicate findings to referring physicians
• Provide on-site consultations with patients and healthcare staff
• Participate in multidisciplinary rounds to discuss patient management strategies
• Ensure compliance with safety protocols and imaging standards
• Stay updated on advancements in radiology techniques and technologies
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Assist in the training and mentorship of junior medical staff

Requirements

• Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree from an accredited institution
• Completion of a residency in Radiology
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
• Strong diagnostic skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
• Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred

Schedule: 8a-5p

No call requirement

Setting: Onsite

Daily Volume: ~90 mixed modality cases

Must be proficient in light IR (mainly fluoros)

EMR: Cerner

PACS: Mach 7 Powerscribe

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
