As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will be responsible for conducting diagnostic imaging procedures, interpreting results, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Your role is crucial in delivering high-quality radiological services, enhancing patient treatment plans, and contributing to the overall success of our staffing initiatives in the healthcare sector.
Responsibilities
- Perform diagnostic imaging procedures such as X-rays, MRIs, and CT scans
- Interpret radiological results and provide accurate reports
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Maintain detailed patient records and ensure confidentiality
- Stay current with advancements in radiology techniques and technologies
- Participate in departmental meetings and contribute to quality improvement initiatives
- Provide guidance and support to junior staff and trainees
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols and regulations in imaging practices
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Radiology
- Associate-level experience in a clinical radiology setting
- Strong proficiency in diagnostic imaging technologies
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Commitment to continuing education and professional development
Schedule: Monday-Friday (8a-5p), 2 weeks per month
No call shifts
Case Mix: 80% IR, 20% DX
Daily Volume: 15-20 procedures
PACS: GE
Dictation: Epic Radiant
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
