As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through imaging techniques. Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Interpret imaging results and provide accurate diagnoses
  • Collaborate with physicians and medical staff to determine appropriate imaging strategies
  • Ensure compliance with safety standards and protocols in radiology
  • Maintain detailed and accurate patient records
  • Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
  • Stay updated with advancements in radiological technology and practices

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD) from an accredited institution
  • Active medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
  • Experience in a radiology setting, preferably as a locum
  • Strong proficiency in various imaging modalities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to patient care and safety
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records systems

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Setting: Onsite

Daily volume: 55 RVUs

Caseload: 40% XR, 35% CT, 10% IR/fluoro, 5% MR, 5% US, and 5% mammo

Required Procedures: Paracentesis, thoracentesis, abscess drain, chest tube, percutaneous drain, CT/US-guided biopsies, arthrogram, lumbar puncture, and fluoro
