 This contract position is an on-site role that presents an excellent opportunity to contribute to high-quality patient care within the medical practice industry.

As a Locum MD in Radiology, you will play a critical role in diagnosing and treating patients through advanced imaging techniques. You will collaborate with a team of healthcare professionals to ensure the highest standards of patient care and contribute to ongoing medical projects.

Responsibilities

  • Perform diagnostic imaging procedures, including X-rays, CT scans, and MRIs
  • Analyze and interpret imaging results to provide accurate diagnoses
  • Collaborate with referring physicians and healthcare teams
  • Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
  • Educate patients about procedures and address their concerns
  • Participate in quality assurance and improvement initiatives
  • Stay updated with the latest advancements in radiological technology
  • Contribute to departmental meetings and case discussions

Requirements

  • MD degree from an accredited medical school
  • Active medical license to practice in the state
  • Completion of residency in Radiology
  • Strong clinical skills and attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Knowledge of radiology software and imaging technologies
  • Commitment to ongoing professional development and education

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8a-5p

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Patient Population: Pediatric through geriatric

Required Procedures: Stereotactic biopsies, breast ultrasound biopsies, breast localization procedures, mammo and ultrasound-guided biopsies

Team Structure: 6 additional radiologists + full complement support staff

EMR: Epic

Dictation: Powerscribe

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
