Description

We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services in the field of radiology. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for patients, while supporting the overall healthcare system. As a Locum MD Radiology, you will be involved in a variety of medical imaging projects, contributing to the well-being of individuals and communities.

Responsibilities:

  • Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
  • Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and treatment options.
  • Providing accurate and timely radiology reports to assist in patient management.
  • Ensuring compliance with safety protocols and quality assurance standards in radiology procedures.
  • Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to review and discuss patient outcomes.
  • Staying updated on the latest advancements and technologies in the field of radiology.
  • Offering guidance and supervision to radiologic technologists and other support staff.
  • Adhering to ethical and legal standards in patient care and confidentiality.

Requirements:

  • Medical degree and valid license to practice as a Medical Doctor specializing in Radiology.
  • Proven experience working as a Radiologist, with a focus on diagnostic imaging techniques.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and healthcare teams.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret complex medical images accurately.
  • Ability to work under pressure and make critical decisions in emergency situations.
  • Proficiency in using radiology equipment and software for image analysis and reporting.
  • Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of radiology.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy in diagnosing medical conditions based on imaging results.

Schedule: 8a-5p, one week per month

Call Requirement: Weeknights (5p-8a) and weekends (Friday 5p-Monday 8a) during the week on

Case Mix: 75% IR, 25% DX

Light IR Procedures: CT biopsies, lumbar punctures, fluros

Must be board-certified
