Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) Radiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services in the field of radiology. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring accurate diagnoses and treatment plans for patients, contributing significantly to the overall healthcare delivery system. As a Locum MD Radiology, you will be involved in a variety of medical imaging projects, utilizing advanced technology to support patient care.
Responsibilities:
- Performing and interpreting diagnostic imaging tests such as X-rays, MRIs, CT scans, and ultrasounds.
- Collaborating with other healthcare professionals to discuss patient cases and treatment plans.
- Ensuring the accuracy and quality of radiology reports and patient records.
- Adhering to safety protocols and guidelines to minimize radiation exposure risks.
- Staying updated on the latest advancements in radiology technology and practices.
- Providing guidance and supervision to radiologic technologists and support staff.
- Communicating effectively with patients to explain procedures and results.
- Participating in multidisciplinary team meetings to review complex cases.
Requirements:
- Medical degree and board certification in Radiology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a Radiologist.
- Demonstrated experience in interpreting a wide range of imaging studies.
- Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced medical environment.
- Proficiency in using radiology information systems and PACS.
- Commitment to maintaining patient confidentiality and privacy.
Schedule: 7a-4p or 8a-5p
Weekend Call: 7a-4p
Setting: Onsite
Cases: General DX radiology, some mammography, light IR procedures
Board certification required
Paid travel & expenses
