We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the smooth operation of various medical procedures and surgeries, making a significant impact on patient care and outcomes. As a Locum MD or DO in Anesthesiology, you will be involved in diverse medical projects, collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to deliver high-quality care.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures.
  • Monitor patients before, during, and after anesthesia to ensure their safety and comfort.
  • Manage and treat any complications that may arise during anesthesia.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to create individualized anesthesia plans.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation related to anesthesia care.
  • Stay updated on the latest advancements and best practices in anesthesiology.
  • Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Adhere to all relevant medical and ethical standards in the delivery of care.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology.
  • Valid state medical license to practice as a physician.
  • Proven experience working as an Anesthesiologist in a clinical setting.
  • Excellent knowledge of anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make quick decisions.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 6:30a-5p

No call or weekends

Spinal, epidural, and regional anesthesia

Case Types: OB, neurosurgical/spinal, complex vascular, complex orthopedic, vent management, central and arterial line insertion

Will supervise 3 CRNAs

EMR: Epic

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
