Description
As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering quality patient care, ensuring safety during procedures, and collaborating with surgical teams. Your expertise will contribute to maintaining high standards in anesthetic practices and patient management, allowing us to support healthcare facilities in meeting their staffing needs effectively.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing surgical procedures
- Monitor patients' vital signs throughout procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and other medical staff to ensure patient safety
- Conduct pre-operative assessments to evaluate patient health
- Provide post-operative care and pain management solutions
- Document anesthesia processes and patient responses accurately
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices
- Adhere to safety and ethical standards in all procedures
Requirements
- Valid MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Current state medical license to practice in Edison
- Completion of an accredited residency in Anesthesiology
- Strong understanding of anesthetic techniques and pharmacology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in high-pressure environments
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
- Previous locum tenens experience is a plus
Schedule: 8-hour day shifts, specific dates
No call requirement
Patient Volume: 10 per day
Cases: 100% GI
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
