Description
As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality patient care in various clinical settings. You will collaborate closely with surgical teams to ensure the safe administration of anesthesia and monitoring of patients throughout their surgical procedures. This role is vital to maintaining the standards of care that our clients expect, and it provides a platform for medical professionals to showcase their skills and make a significant impact in the healthcare community.
Responsibilities
- Administer anesthesia and monitor patients throughout surgical procedures
- Collaborate with surgeons and medical staff to ensure patient safety
- Evaluate patients' medical histories and perform pre-anesthesia assessments
- Develop and implement anesthesia care plans
- Provide post-anesthesia care and assess recovery
- Educate patients and families about anesthesia procedures
- Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
- Completion of an accredited residency program in Anesthesiology
- Experience in anesthesiology, preferably in a locum or contract setting
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to maintaining high standards of patient care
- Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification
Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 7p-7a
