As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality anesthetic care in various clinical settings. Your expertise will be essential in ensuring patient safety and comfort during surgical procedures. Responsibilities

  • Administer anesthesia and monitor patients during surgical procedures
  • Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Assess patient medical histories and determine appropriate anesthesia plans
  • Manage post-anesthesia care and address any complications
  • Maintain accurate and detailed patient records
  • Stay current with anesthesiology best practices and protocols
  • Provide support and guidance to junior medical staff as needed
  • Participate in departmental meetings and continuous education initiatives

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology or relevant specialty
  • Associate level experience in anesthesiology
  • Current state medical license and DEA registration
  • Strong clinical judgment and decision-making skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Willingness to adhere to safety protocols and patient care standards

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 10-hour shifts

Weekday and weekend call rotation

Caseload: General, OB, some neuro, minimal pediatrics

Epidurals and neuro cases are required

1:4 medical supervision

Must be able to practice independently as well

EMR: Epic

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
