We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in need. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of various medical procedures and surgeries, making a significant impact on patient care and outcomes. As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse assignments, gaining valuable experience in different clinical settings.

As a Locum MD or DO in Anesthesiology , you will be involved in a wide range of projects, from administering anesthesia during surgeries to managing pain relief for patients in critical care. Your role is essential in maintaining the safety and comfort of patients undergoing medical procedures. By collaborating with healthcare teams and adapting to various work environments, you will contribute to the overall success of healthcare facilities while enhancing your professional skills in anesthesia practice.

Responsibilities:

  • Administer anesthesia before, during, and after medical procedures.
  • Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
  • Collaborate with surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
  • Manage pain relief for patients in post-operative and critical care units.
  • Document patient care accurately and maintain medical records.
  • Stay updated on advancements in anesthesia techniques and medications.
  • Adhere to all relevant healthcare regulations and guidelines.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding anesthesia.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Anesthesiology.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia principles, practices, and techniques.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in fast-paced environments.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different healthcare settings and schedules.

Schedule: 2-3 procedure days and 2-3 clinic days per week

Rotating beeper call shifts

Setting: Outpatient

Daily Volume: 16 procedures or 22 clinic visits

Support staff available

Paid travel & expenses
