Description
We are currently seeking a dedicated Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Anesthesiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in need. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the smooth operation of various medical procedures and surgeries, making a significant impact on patient care and outcomes. As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse assignments, gaining valuable experience in different clinical settings.
Responsibilities:
- Administer anesthesia during medical procedures and surgeries.
- Monitor patient vital signs and adjust anesthesia levels as needed.
- Collaborate with surgeons, physicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure patient safety.
- Provide post-anesthesia care and monitor patients in the recovery room.
- Document patient information and maintain accurate medical records.
- Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions as required.
- Adhere to all relevant medical protocols, guidelines, and regulations.
- Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology and incorporate best practices into daily work.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification or eligibility in Anesthesiology.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Strong knowledge of anesthesia techniques, medications, and equipment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong problem-solving abilities.
- Flexibility to adapt to different healthcare settings and schedules.
Schedule: 2-3 procedure days and 2-3 clinic days per week
Rotating beeper call shifts
Setting: Outpatient
Daily Volume: 16 procedures or 22 clinic visits
