As a Locum Anesthesiologist, you will play a critical role in providing anesthesia services for cardiac procedures, collaborating with surgical teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes. Responsibilities

• Administer anesthesia to patients undergoing cardiac procedures
• Monitor patient vitals and respond to changes in condition
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure patient safety and comfort
• Conduct pre-anesthetic assessments and consultations
• Manage anesthesia-related complications and emergencies
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Provide post-anesthesia care and assessment
• Stay updated on advancements in anesthesiology techniques and protocols

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
• Current state medical license to practice in Texas
• Experience in anesthesiology, particularly in cardiac procedures
• Strong knowledge of anesthesia medications and techniques
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations effectively
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Board certification in Anesthesiology preferred

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-3p

1:2 or 1:3 weekend call rotation required

Case Mix: Cardiac, EP thoracic, and cardiology cases

Must be proficient in performing and interpreting intra-op TEEs and placing central and arterial lines

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
