Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive cardiology assessments and patient care
- Diagnose and manage cardiovascular diseases and conditions
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct diagnostic procedures and interpret results
- Educate patients and families on cardiovascular health and prevention
- Participate in quality improvement initiatives and clinical research
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Stay updated on the latest advancements in cardiology
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in Cardiology
- Minimum of 5 years of clinical experience in cardiology
- Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement
- Current medical license to practice in the state of Illinois
Flexible Schedule: 8a-5p, shifts available Monday-Sunday
Weeknight and weekend beeper call shifts available
Setting: Inpatient
Patient Census: 15-18 per shift
Cases: STEMI call, TAVRS, cath lab, and general reads (nucs, TEEs, etc.)
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
