As a Locum MD/DO in Cardiology, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality cardiac care, working closely with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes. You will be involved in diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases, conducting patient consultations, and performing necessary procedures. This role is essential in maintaining the health and well-being of our patients, contributing to the overall mission of Rinvio Recruitment in the staffing and recruiting industry.

 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations of patients with cardiovascular conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Perform diagnostic tests and interpret results
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams to provide coordinated care
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiology and integrate best practices into patient care
  • Provide patient education on cardiovascular health and preventive measures
  • Document patient interactions and maintain accurate medical records
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives and peer reviews

Requirements

  • Doctor of Medicine (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathy (DO) degree
  • Board certification in Cardiology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of California
  • Strong clinical skills with a focus on patient-centered care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Detail-oriented with strong organizational skills
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and education

Schedule: 24-hour call shifts, 6a-6a

Daily Volume: 3-4 consults, 4-8 stress tests, and 5-12 echos

Duties: Consult patients in ED and inpatients, collaborate with hospitalists and specialists, supervise stress tests (pharmacological /exercise), interpret OP and INPT echocardiology, Holter, event monitors 

Preferred Procedures: TEE, transvenous pacing, tilt table interpretation

Support Staff: Cardiology manager, echocardiographers, and cardiology technicians

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
