We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Cardiology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services in the field of cardiology. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of our healthcare projects. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough examinations of patients with cardiovascular conditions.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for cardiology patients.
  • Perform diagnostic tests and procedures related to heart health.
  • Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care.
  • Provide education and guidance to patients and their families on heart disease prevention and management.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all cardiology patients.
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient cases.
  • Stay current with advancements in cardiology treatments and technologies.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Cardiology.
  • Possess a valid state medical license to practice as a Cardiologist.
  • Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating various cardiovascular conditions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality and compassionate patient care.

Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7a-5p

Call: Occasional 24-hour weekend call

Daily Volume: 11-12 patients

Patient Population: 65+

Setting: Outpatient and inpatient

Responsibilities: Inpatient rounding, consultations, ECG, ECHO, and nuclear study readings

EMR: Cerner

Support Staff: Clinic staff

Must be board-certified
