As a Locum Cardiothoracic Surgeon, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality surgical services while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. Responsibilities
- Perform complex cardiothoracic surgical procedures
- Provide pre-operative and post-operative care to patients
- Collaborate with surgical teams and support staff
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Participate in surgical consultations and discussions
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards
- Stay updated with advancements in cardiothoracic surgery
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Cardiothoracic Surgery
- 5+ years of experience in cardiothoracic surgical practice
- Strong surgical skills and knowledge of current techniques
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to patient care and safety
- Valid medical license to practice in the relevant state
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Level II trauma
Patient Census: 15 per day
Annual Volume: ~100 hearts, potential for 250-300 hearts
Support Staff: Nurses, APPs
EMR: eCW
Must be board-certified
