We are currently seeking Locum MDs and DOs specializing in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery t. As a Locum Medical Doctor, you will play a crucial role in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery will be instrumental in delivering high-quality patient care and supporting our healthcare facilities. This position offers a unique opportunity to work on diverse surgical cases and contribute to improving patient outcomes.

As a Locum MD or DO in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery, you will be involved in a variety of projects ranging from performing surgeries, diagnosing conditions, developing treatment plans, to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams. Your role is essential in ensuring the smooth operation of healthcare facilities, meeting patient needs, and upholding the highest standards of medical care. 

Responsibilities:

  • Performing Cardiothoracic and Vascular surgeries according to established guidelines and protocols.
  • Diagnosing patients' conditions accurately and recommending appropriate treatment plans.
  • Collaborating with nurses, anesthesiologists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Participating in patient consultations, pre-operative assessments, and post-operative care.
  • Documenting patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
  • Adhering to all regulatory requirements, safety standards, and ethical principles in medical practice.
  • Participating in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in Cardiothoracic and Vascular Surgery.
  • Providing guidance and mentorship to medical students, residents, and other healthcare staff.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Cardiothoracic Surgery and Vascular Surgery.
  • Valid medical license to practice in the specified location.
  • Excellent surgical skills and proficiency in performing complex procedures.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
  • Attention to detail, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care and maintaining patient confidentiality.

Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a-7a

Patient Volume: 10-15 per day

Duties: Full-scope CV surgery

EMR: Cerner McKesson Cardiology, Paragon 

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
