Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality emergency medical care to patients
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and diagnostic tests
- Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure effective care delivery
- Stabilize patients and determine appropriate treatment plans
- Participate in ongoing medical education and training
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
- Adhere to all medical protocols and safety regulations
- Communicate effectively with patients and their families
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in Texas
- Emergency Medicine residency training
- Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Flexibility to work varied shifts and adapt to changing demands
- Level I Trauma
Flexible Schedule: Primarily 2p-10p, but 6a-2p and 10p-6a are available
No call requirement
Patient Census: 16-24 per shift
70% discharges, 30% admits
No labor & delivery cases
68 ED beds, 10 psych beds, 15 hall beds
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
