Description

As a Locum Emergency Medicine physician, you will play a critical role in providing high-quality medical care to patients in urgent situations. Your expertise will be essential in managing diverse cases and ensuring timely interventions, all while collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. 

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive emergency medical care to patients
• Assess and triage patients based on urgency
• Stabilize and manage acute medical conditions
• Collaborate with nursing and support staff for optimal patient care
• Document patient interactions and treatments accurately
• Participate in departmental meetings and training sessions
• Maintain compliance with medical regulations and standards
• Provide mentorship to junior staff when applicable

Requirements

• Valid MD or DO license in the state of practice
• Completion of an accredited residency in Emergency Medicine
• Previous experience in an emergency medicine setting preferred
• Strong clinical assessment and decision-making skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Ability to work efficiently under pressure
• Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
• Commitment to providing compassionate patient care
