As a Locum MD/DO in Emergency Medicine at Rinvio Recruitment, you will be involved in a variety of fast-paced and dynamic projects, including diagnosing and treating acute illnesses and injuries, stabilizing patients in critical condition, and coordinating with specialists for further care. This role requires quick thinking, strong decision-making skills, and the ability to remain calm under pressure. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct initial patient assessments and examinations in the emergency department.
  • Order and interpret diagnostic tests to determine the nature and extent of illnesses or injuries.
  • Administer appropriate treatments and medications following established protocols.
  • Perform procedures such as suturing, splinting, and wound care as needed.
  • Collaborate with nurses, technicians, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records for all patients seen.
  • Provide clear and concise instructions to patients regarding their conditions and follow-up care.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, case reviews, and quality improvement initiatives.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Emergency Medicine.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong clinical skills with the ability to make rapid and accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for effective patient interactions.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and evidence-based care to all patients.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
