We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency Medicine In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in need of urgent attention. Responsibilities:
- Respond to emergency medical calls and provide immediate care to patients.
- Perform medical assessments, diagnose conditions, and develop treatment plans.
- Stabilize patients in critical condition and ensure they receive necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with healthcare teams to coordinate patient care and follow-up.
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress accurately.
- Adhere to medical protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards in all procedures.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members in high-pressure situations.
- Participate in continuous training and education to stay updated on medical advancements.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
- Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
- Proven experience working in emergency departments or urgent care settings.
- Excellent clinical skills with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work well in a team environment.
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-stress situations.

Schedule: Day or night shifts
No call requirement
Level III trauma center
Annual Volume: 45k patients
Patient Census: 2.2 per hour
22-room ED
Support Staff: APPs, intensivist, hospitalist
Must be board-certified
