We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD/DO (Medical Doctor/Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency Medicine  In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Gloversville. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring quality patient care and efficient emergency medical services. You will be involved in diverse medical projects, contributing to the well-being of individuals in need of immediate medical attention.

Responsibilities:

• Provide emergency medical care to patients in a fast-paced environment.
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions, injuries, and illnesses.
• Stabilize patients and make decisions regarding their need for additional medical care.
• Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information, treatment plans, and outcomes accurately.
• Adhere to medical protocols, guidelines, and regulations at all times.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest medical advancements.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members.

Requirements:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Valid state medical license to practice as a physician.
• Proven experience working in emergency departments or urgent care settings.
• Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.
• Attention to detail and the ability to multitask effectively.
• Flexibility to work varied shifts and handle unpredictable situations.

Schedule: 7a-7p, 7-10 shifts per month

No call requirement

Annual Volume: 17,000 patients

Daily Volume: 49 patients

EMR: Meditech

Must be board-certified
