Description
We are currently seeking Locum MDs (Medical Doctors) and DOs (Osteopathic Doctors) specializing in Emergency Medicine . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being and safety of individuals in need of urgent medical attention. As a Locum MD or DO, you will have the opportunity to work on diverse cases, collaborate with a multidisciplinary team, and make a significant impact on the community's health.
Responsibilities:
- Respond promptly to emergency medical situations and provide high-quality care to patients.
- Perform medical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of acute conditions.
- Stabilize patients in critical condition and initiate necessary interventions.
- Collaborate with nurses, paramedics, and other healthcare professionals to ensure coordinated patient care.
- Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress notes accurately.
- Adhere to medical protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards in all interactions.
- Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on the latest advancements in emergency medicine.
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members to provide comprehensive care and support.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Valid license to practice as an MD or DO in the state of Round Rock.
- Certification in Emergency Medicine or relevant specialty.
- Strong clinical skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions in high-pressure situations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
- Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.
Schedule: 10a-8p, 8p-6a
Patient Census: 5-6 per hour
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
