We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency Medicine . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to healthcare facilities in Pflugerville. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring quality patient care and efficient emergency medical services. You will be involved in a variety of emergency cases, making quick decisions and providing immediate medical attention.

As a Locum MD or DO in Emergency Medicine, your role is essential in filling temporary gaps in medical staffing, maintaining patient safety, and upholding medical standards. You will work on diverse projects, handling a wide range of emergency cases, from minor injuries to life-threatening situations. This position requires strong medical knowledge, quick thinking, and the ability to work effectively under pressure.

Responsibilities:

• Provide immediate medical care to patients in emergency situations.
• Diagnose and treat various medical conditions efficiently.
• Stabilize patients and make critical decisions under pressure.
• Collaborate with medical staff to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information accurately and promptly.
• Adhere to medical protocols and guidelines at all times.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and healthcare teams.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on medical advancements.

Requirements:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Valid state medical license in Pflugerville.
• Proven experience working in emergency medicine settings.
• Excellent diagnostic and decision-making skills.
• Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations.
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in patient documentation.

Schedule: 10a-8p, 3p-1a, 8p-6a

Patient Census: 4-4.5 per hour

EMR: Epic

Board certification required
