Responsibilities:

  • Respond promptly to emergency medical situations and provide immediate care to patients.
  • Perform thorough assessments of patients' conditions and establish accurate diagnoses.
  • Administer appropriate treatments and medications following established protocols.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive and coordinated patient care.
  • Monitor patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary.
  • Document all medical interventions, observations, and treatment outcomes accurately.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members to ensure clear understanding of treatment plans.
  • Adhere to all medical protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards in emergency medical practice.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Proven experience working in emergency departments or urgent care settings.
  • Strong clinical skills and ability to make quick, accurate decisions in high-stress situations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced team environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Schedule: 12-hour shifts, 6a-6p or 6p-6a

No call shifts required

Trauma Level III

Annual Volume: 48,000 patients

Daily Volume: 131 patients

Backup Specialties: Internal medicine, pediatrics, cardiology, GI, OB, neurology, neurosurgery, ENT, orthopedics, surgery, cath lab

Support Staff: APPs

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
