We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Emergency Medicine . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Round Rock. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring high-quality patient care and efficient emergency medical services. You will be involved in a variety of fast-paced and challenging medical cases, making quick decisions to save lives and improve patient outcomes.

Responsibilities:

• Respond to emergency medical situations promptly and effectively.
• Perform medical assessments, diagnosis, and treatment of patients in the emergency department.
• Stabilize patients in critical condition and provide life-saving interventions.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
• Document patient information, treatment plans, and progress accurately.
• Adhere to medical protocols, standards, and guidelines in all procedures.
• Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff members.
• Participate in continuous education and training to stay updated on medical advancements.

Requirements:

• Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
• Board certification in Emergency Medicine.
• Valid state medical license to practice in Round Rock.
• Proven experience working in emergency departments or urgent care settings.
• Strong decision-making and critical thinking skills in high-pressure situations.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
• Attention to detail and accuracy in documentation.

Schedule: 10a-8p, 3p-1a, 8p-6a

Patient Census: 5-6 per hour

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
