 This on-site, contract position offers a unique opportunity to provide exceptional patient care in a dynamic staffing environment.

As a Gastroenterology Locum MD/DO, you will play a vital role in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal disorders. Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal issues
  • Diagnose and develop treatment plans for various gastroenterological conditions
  • Perform endoscopic procedures and other specialized treatments
  • Collaborate with nursing and support staff to ensure quality patient care
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Educate patients and families on gastrointestinal health and preventive measures
  • Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings to discuss patient care
  • Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and related fields

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of New York
  • Board certification or eligibility in Gastroenterology
  • Experience in a clinical setting with gastroenterology patients
  • Strong diagnostic skills and clinical judgment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Level II trauma

Schedule: 7:30a - 3:30p or 7:30a-5:30p, 4-5 days per week

1:8 call rotation

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Daily Volume: 12-18 per day

Full scope of GI cases

ERCP and EUS preferred

Support Staff: APPs, Hospitalist, on-call operator, IR

EMR: Meditech and Provation

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
