As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a critical role in delivering exceptional patient care, diagnosing and treating gastrointestinal disorders, and collaborating with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. Responsibilities

  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments of patients with gastrointestinal conditions
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans
  • Perform diagnostic procedures, including endoscopies and biopsies
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to provide holistic patient care
  • Document patient information accurately and maintain medical records
  • Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology and participate in ongoing professional development
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment options
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and ethical standards

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Board certification in Gastroenterology
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
  • Experience in a clinical setting, preferably in gastroenterology
  • Strong diagnostic and procedural skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care and continuous learning

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call shifts, 7a-7a

Level III trauma

Setting: Inpatient

Patient Census: 1-2 per day

Patient Population: Adults, adolescents

Cases: Endoscopies, GI bleeds, evaluation of GI problems

Support Staff: RN

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
