We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Gastroenterology In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients. Your expertise will be vital in diagnosing and treating patients with gastrointestinal conditions, ensuring the highest level of care and service delivery. You will have the opportunity to work on a variety of gastroenterology projects, contributing to the overall success of our healthcare staffing solutions.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough examinations and evaluations of patients with gastrointestinal issues.
- Develop and implement treatment plans based on diagnosis and medical history.
- Perform endoscopic procedures such as colonoscopies and gastroscopies.
- Interpret diagnostic test results and provide accurate assessments.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date medical records for all patients.
- Stay current with advancements in gastroenterology treatments and technologies.
- Provide education and guidance to patients and their families regarding their conditions.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Gastroenterology.
- Valid state medical license to practice as a physician.
- Demonstrated experience in diagnosing and treating various gastrointestinal disorders.
- Proficiency in performing endoscopic procedures.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and dynamic healthcare environment.
- Attention to detail and excellent problem-solving abilities.
Schedule: 8a-5p in clinic and 7:15a-5p in endo suite
24-hour weekday and weekend call shifts
Daily Volume: 12-13 endo cases or 14-15 clinic patients per day
Mix of IV sedation and MAC in endoscopy
No advanced endoscopy
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
Paid travel & expenses
