As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, managing a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans. Responsibilities

• Provide expert consultation and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatological disorders
• Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
• Participate in patient education and counseling
• Stay informed about advancements in gastroenterology and hepatology
• Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Board certification in Gastroenterology or related field
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois
• Experience in clinical settings with a focus on gastrointestinal conditions
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
• Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
• Flexibility to adapt to the needs of the practice and patients

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts), 1-2 weeks per month

No call requirement

Level II Trauma

Setting: Outpatient

Patient Census: 12-15 per shift

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified or board-eligible
