As a Locum Gastroenterologist, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional patient care, managing a variety of gastrointestinal conditions, and collaborating with healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive treatment plans. Responsibilities
- Provide expert consultation and treatment for patients with gastrointestinal and hepatological disorders
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop tailored treatment plans
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as needed
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to enhance patient care
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
- Participate in patient education and counseling
- Stay informed about advancements in gastroenterology and hepatology
- Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and best practices
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Gastroenterology or related field
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Illinois
- Experience in clinical settings with a focus on gastrointestinal conditions
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment

Schedule: Monday-Friday (8-hour shifts), 1-2 weeks per month
No call requirement
Level II Trauma
Setting: Outpatient
Patient Census: 12-15 per shift
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
