As a Locum MD/DO in General Surgery, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality surgical care while collaborating with our network of healthcare facilities. Responsibilities
- Perform a range of surgical procedures in accordance with best practices
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
- Assess patients pre- and post-operation to monitor their recovery
- Maintain accurate and timely medical records
- Participate in surgical rounds and consults
- Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures and recovery
- Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
- Contribute to the development of surgical protocols and guidelines
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
- Experience in General Surgery preferred
- Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Strong organizational and time-management abilities
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems
Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a-7a
Level IV trauma
Daily Census: 0-1 patients
Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics
Duties: Emergency department call coverage
Procedures: Bread & butter general surgery, emergent endoscopies possible
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
