As a Locum MD/DO in General Surgery, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality surgical care while collaborating with our network of healthcare facilities. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes and ensuring that surgical services are delivered efficiently. Responsibilities

• Perform a range of surgical procedures in accordance with best practices
• Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient care
• Assess patients pre- and post-operation to monitor their recovery
• Maintain accurate and timely medical records
• Participate in surgical rounds and consults
• Provide patient education regarding surgical procedures and recovery
• Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations and standards
• Contribute to the development of surgical protocols and guidelines

Requirements

• MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
• Valid medical license to practice in the state of Colorado
• Experience in General Surgery preferred
• Strong clinical skills and a patient-centered approach
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems

Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a-7a

Level IV trauma

Daily Census: 0-1 patients

Patient Population: Adolescents, adults, and geriatrics

Duties: Emergency department call coverage

Procedures: Bread & butter general surgery, emergent endoscopies possible

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
