Description
As a Locum MD/DO, you will play a crucial role in providing high-quality care to patients with hematologic and oncologic conditions. You will work closely with our dedicated medical team to deliver essential services and support the ongoing treatment of patients. This position is ideal for new graduates looking to gain hands-on experience in a supportive and collaborative environment.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive care to patients with hematology and oncology diagnoses
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Administer chemotherapy and other treatment modalities
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to optimize patient outcomes
- Monitor and manage patient progress and response to treatments
- Educate patients and their families about treatment options and care plans
- Document patient interactions and treatment plans in medical records
- Participate in team meetings and contribute to patient care discussions
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Strong interest in hematology and oncology
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality patient care
- Basic knowledge of cancer treatments and therapies is a plus
- Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced environment
Schedule: Monday-Thursday, 7:30a-5:30p
Call Requirement: Overnight and 24-hour weekend shifts
Patient Volume: 15-21 per day
Setting: Outpatient clinic
Duties: Chemotherapy and infusions
No procedures required
Support Staff: RNs, MAs, NP, front office clerks
EMR: iKnowMed and Cerner
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
Paid travel & expenses
