Description
In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans. Your expertise will be vital in delivering compassionate care and ensuring that patients receive the best possible outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
- Diagnose and treat various hematological and oncological conditions
- Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
- Educate patients and families about treatment options and health management
- Participate in clinical trials and research projects as applicable
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
Requirements
- Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
- Valid medical license to practice in the state
- Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology
- Strong clinical skills and experience in patient care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
- Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
- Previous locum tenens experience is a plus but not required
Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p)
No night or weekend coverage required
Setting: Inpatient and outpatient
Daily Volume: 15 patients
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
