In this role, you will be responsible for diagnosing and treating patients with blood disorders and cancers, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to develop tailored treatment plans. Your expertise will be vital in delivering compassionate care and ensuring that patients receive the best possible outcomes. 

Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough patient evaluations and assessments
  • Diagnose and treat various hematological and oncological conditions
  • Develop and implement personalized treatment plans
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatments as necessary
  • Educate patients and families about treatment options and health management
  • Participate in clinical trials and research projects as applicable
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records

Requirements

  • Medical degree (MD or DO) from an accredited institution
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state
  • Board certification or eligibility in Hematology Oncology
  • Strong clinical skills and experience in patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to providing high-quality patient care
  • Previous locum tenens experience is a plus but not required

Schedule: Monday-Thursday (8a-5p) and Friday (8a-12p)

No night or weekend coverage required

Setting: Inpatient and outpatient

Daily Volume: 15 patients

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
