As a Locum MD or DO Hospitalist, you will be involved in various projects focused on delivering comprehensive medical services, overseeing patient care plans, and coordinating with other healthcare professionals to optimize treatment outcomes. Responsibilities:

  • Conducting thorough patient assessments and examinations.
  • Developing and implementing effective treatment plans.
  • Monitoring and managing patients with acute and chronic illnesses.
  • Ordering and interpreting diagnostic tests and procedures.
  • Collaborating with specialists and healthcare teams for comprehensive patient care.
  • Providing education and support to patients and their families.
  • Documenting patient information accurately and efficiently.
  • Participating in quality improvement initiatives and patient safety protocols.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification or eligibility in Internal Medicine or related specialty.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Strong clinical skills and knowledge of evidence-based practices.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.
  • Attention to detail and strong problem-solving skills.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Schedule: 7a-7p w/ night call

Daily Census: 10-15 patients

Low admissions

Cancer care cases

Support Staff: APPs

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
