As a Hospitalist, you will play a crucial role in managing patient care and working closely with nursing staff and specialists to ensure optimal treatment outcomes. This position not only allows you to apply your medical expertise but also offers the chance to make a significant impact on the lives of patients in the community. 

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive medical care to hospitalized patients
  • Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure quality care
  • Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment as necessary
  • Educate patients and their families on health management and treatment
  • Participate in hospital rounds and case discussions
  • Document patient care activities accurately and timely
  • Adhere to hospital policies and quality standards

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state
  • Experience in internal medicine or hospitalist settings
  • Strong clinical assessment and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
  • Commitment to patient-centered care
  • Basic proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems

Schedule: 7a-7p, 7 on/7 off

Patient Census: 14-15 per day

Open ICU with 24/7 critical care support

Will not be required to respond to codes

No procedures required

Full subspecialty support, including oncology, tele-stroke, and cardiology

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified

Paid travel & expenses
