- Provide high-quality care to patients in a hospital setting
- Conduct thorough patient assessments and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Maintain accurate and detailed medical records
- Participate in patient rounds and provide updates to the medical team
- Respond promptly to medical emergencies and critical care situations
- Educate patients and families about health conditions and treatment options
- Adhere to all hospital policies and regulatory requirements
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Active medical license to practice in the state of Tennessee
- Previous experience in hospital medicine or internal medicine
- Strong clinical skills and knowledge in managing diverse patient populations
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment
- Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
- Commitment to patient-centered care and quality improvement

Duties: Admissions and cross-cover
Daily Volume: 6-8 admissions, 6-8 new patient encounters
No procedures required
Support Staff: APPs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
