We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) Hospitalist. As a Locum MD or DO Hospitalist  you will be involved in a diverse range of medical projects, collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to deliver comprehensive healthcare services. Your role is essential in maintaining the standard of care within the hospital, managing acute and chronic illnesses, and overseeing the treatment plans for patients. Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough medical examinations and assessments of patients.
  • Develop and implement appropriate treatment plans for patients based on diagnosis.
  • Monitor and manage patients admitted to the hospital, including those in critical condition.
  • Collaborate with specialists, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
  • Document all patient interactions, diagnoses, treatments, and progress notes accurately.
  • Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding medical conditions and treatment options.
  • Participate in medical rounds, case conferences, and departmental meetings as required.
  • Adhere to all hospital policies, procedures, and regulatory guidelines.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Internal Medicine or Hospital Medicine.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Proven experience working as a Hospitalist or in a similar clinical role.
  • Excellent clinical skills with the ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to interact effectively with patients and healthcare team members.
  • Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced hospital environment.
  • Commitment to providing compassionate and patient-centered care.

Schedule: 12-hour day shifts

No call requirement

Patient Census: 15-20 per day

EMR: Cerner

Must be board-certified
