As a Locum Neonatologist, you will be part of a dedicated team focused on providing high-quality care to newborns. This role is essential in supporting our clients' staffing needs while ensuring excellent patient outcomes. Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality medical care to neonates in various healthcare settings
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop care plans
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes
- Monitor and manage the health of newborns in critical conditions
- Document patient care activities and maintain accurate medical records
- Participate in continuing education and training programs
- Engage with families to provide support and education regarding neonatal care
- Adhere to all health and safety regulations and protocols
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Current medical license in the state of Florida
- Basic understanding of neonatal medicine and pediatric care
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification; Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) certification preferred
Schedule: 7a-5p or 5p-7a
No call requirement
75-bed Level IV NICU
Patient Census: 71 per day
Required Procedures: Standard ICU procedures, ECMO
Team Structure: 7 MDs during the day, 1 MD at night, APPs
Must be board-certified
