 This on-site, contract position offers an exceptional opportunity for medical professionals at a mid-senior level to contribute to patient care within a supportive and dynamic environment.

As a Nephrology specialist, you will be instrumental in diagnosing and managing kidney-related conditions, collaborating closely with other healthcare professionals to deliver comprehensive care. Your expertise will help shape treatment plans and enhance the quality of life for our patients. This role is pivotal in our mission to provide excellent staffing solutions in the healthcare sector.

 

Responsibilities

  • Provide expert diagnosis and treatment for patients with kidney-related diseases
  • Conduct patient assessments and create individualized care plans
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes
  • Monitor and evaluate patient progress, adjusting treatments as necessary
  • Educate patients and families on kidney health and disease management
  • Participate in departmental meetings and case discussions
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records
  • Adhere to all healthcare regulations and best practices

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state of Virginia
  • Board certification in Nephrology
  • 3+ years of clinical experience in Nephrology
  • Strong clinical and diagnostic skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Commitment to continuous professional development and learning

Schedule: 24-hour beeper call, 7a-7a

Daily Volume: 8-12 patients, 4-6 callbacks

Duties: Inpatient consults and procedures

Procedures: Dialysis oversight and insertion of temporary dialysis access required, pheresis preferred

Support Staff: Additional MD

EMR: Epic

Board certification required

Paid travel & expenses
