 This on-site, contract position is ideal for mid-senior level professionals who are passionate about providing exceptional patient care in a dynamic environment.
As a Locum Neurosurgeon, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality surgical services, collaborating with a dedicated team of healthcare professionals. You will have the opportunity to engage in diverse neurosurgical cases while contributing to the well-being of patients in the Chattanooga area. 
Responsibilities
- Perform neurosurgical procedures with precision and care
- Conduct patient evaluations and develop treatment plans
- Collaborate with other medical staff to ensure comprehensive care
- Monitor patient progress and adjust treatment plans as necessary
- Participate in on-call duties and emergency surgical interventions
- Maintain accurate medical records and documentation
- Educate patients and their families about surgical procedures and recovery
- Stay updated on advancements in neurosurgery techniques and technologies
Requirements
- MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
- Board certification in Neurosurgery
- Minimum of 5 years of neurosurgical experience
- Strong clinical skills and decision-making abilities
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
- Current state medical license and DEA registration
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems is preferred
Schedule: 24-hour call shifts
Duties: Endovascular neurointerventions, op and post-op notes, and post-op follow-ups
Procedure Setting: Interventional neurology lab and OR
Required Procedures: Endovascular neuro procedures, thrombectomies, aneurysms
Support Staff: APPs, RNs, RT, and normal OR staff (RN, surg tech, etc.) 
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified
