Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care to patients
  • Conduct examinations, diagnoses, and treatments
  • Collaborate with nursing and healthcare staff to ensure optimal patient outcomes
  • Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
  • Participate in patient education and counseling initiatives
  • Adhere to all regulatory and compliance standards
  • Stay current with medical advancements and best practices in Ob/Gyn
  • Support emergency care and surgical procedures as needed

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Valid medical license to practice in the state
  • Experience in obstetrics and gynecology
  • Strong clinical skills and a commitment to patient care
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment
  • Strong problem-solving and critical-thinking abilities
  • Willingness to adhere to professional standards and ethics

Schedule: 24-hour call, 7a-7a

Setting: Inpatient

Level I Nursery

Annual Volume: ~750 deliveries

OB Duties: Triage, labor management, vaginal births and c-sections, postpartum sterilization, and postpartum care

GYN Duties: ED and floor consults, acute surgical care, and possible D&E for miscarriages

Required Procedures: Labor induction, deliveries, laceration repairs, birth control placement, surgical management of ectopic pregnancy, torsion, etc.

Support Staff: Nurses, CNM, PA, technical and perioperative support, in-house anesthesia, and in-house pediatrics

EMR: Epic

Must be board-certified
