As a Locum Ob/Gyn, you will play a critical role in delivering high-quality care to patients while ensuring that our partner facilities maintain their operational effectiveness. Your expertise will contribute to improving patient outcomes.

Responsibilities

  • Provide comprehensive obstetrical and gynecological care to patients
  • Conduct routine examinations and diagnostic tests
  • Develop treatment plans and manage patient care
  • Collaborate with nursing staff and other healthcare professionals
  • Ensure compliance with healthcare regulations and standards
  • Maintain accurate and timely medical records
  • Participate in on-call duties as required
  • Engage in continuous professional development and training

Requirements

  • MD or DO degree from an accredited medical school
  • Current medical license in good standing
  • Associate-level experience in Ob/Gyn practice
  • Strong clinical skills and patient management abilities
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Familiarity with electronic medical records (EMR) systems
  • Commitment to providing compassionate patient care

Schedule: Friday 5p-Monday 7a

Setting: Inpatient, Level I Nursery

Annual Volume: ~600 deliveries

OB Cases: Triage, labor management, vaginal births and c-sections, postpartum sterilization, and postpartum care

Gynecology Cases: ED and floor consults, acute surgical care, and possible D&E for miscarriages

Procedures: Labor induction, deliveries, laceration repairs, birth control placement, surgical management of ectopic pregnancy, torsion, etc.

Support Staff: Nurses, technical and perioperative support, anesthesia, pediatrics

EMR: Epic

Board certification required
