We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Obstetrics and Gynecology . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Springfield. Your expertise will be vital in ensuring the well-being of patients and contributing to the success of our healthcare staffing solutions. You will be involved in a variety of projects, from covering medical leaves to supporting busy periods, all while maintaining the highest standards of patient care.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide temporary medical coverage for Ob/Gyn patients in various healthcare settings.
  • Perform medical procedures and surgeries as needed.
  • Assess and diagnose patients' conditions accurately.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans in consultation with healthcare teams.
  • Maintain detailed and accurate medical records.
  • Communicate effectively with patients, families, and colleagues.
  • Stay updated on the latest medical advancements and best practices.
  • Collaborate with healthcare facilities to ensure seamless patient care.

Requirements:

  • Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
  • Board certification in Obstetrics and Gynecology.
  • Valid state medical license and DEA registration.
  • Proven experience working as a Locum Tenens physician in Ob/Gyn.
  • Excellent clinical skills and knowledge of current medical standards.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Flexibility to adapt to different healthcare environments and schedules.

Schedule: 24-hour shifts, specific dates

Shifts: Daytime clinic + call

Responsibilities: Manage deliveries, surgical cases, and general gynecologic care

Average Volume: ~40 births per month

Support Staff: OB techs, OR techs, L&D, OR nurses, midwives, and APPs

Must be board-certified
