Description
We are currently seeking a skilled Locum MD (Medical Doctor) or DO (Osteopathic Doctor) specializing in Orthopedic Surgery . In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing temporary medical services to our clients in Florence. Your expertise will be instrumental in ensuring the highest level of patient care and satisfaction, making a significant impact on the healthcare industry.
As a Locum MD or DO in Orthopedic Surgery, you will be involved in a variety of projects ranging from performing surgeries and consultations to collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities:
- Performing orthopedic surgeries with precision and adherence to medical protocols.
- Conducting patient consultations to diagnose orthopedic conditions and recommend treatment plans.
- Collaborating with nurses, therapists, and other healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Documenting patient medical records accurately and promptly.
- Participating in medical rounds, conferences, and training sessions as required.
- Adhering to all legal and ethical standards in the practice of medicine.
- Responding to medical emergencies and providing immediate intervention when necessary.
- Keeping abreast of the latest advancements in orthopedic surgery and incorporating best practices into daily work.
Requirements:
- Medical Doctor (MD) or Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree from an accredited institution.
- Board certification in Orthopedic Surgery.
- Valid medical license to practice in Florence.
- Proven experience as an Orthopedic Surgeon in a clinical setting.
- Excellent surgical skills and dexterity.
- Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Attention to detail and commitment to patient safety.
Schedule: Tuesday & Thursday in clinic (8a-5p) and Monday, Wednesday, & Friday in the OR (7:30a-5p), 1 week per month
Daily Volume: 0-5 inpatients, 20-40 clinic patients, 5-12 surgical cases
Patient Population: Ages 15+
Must be comfortable with hand trauma
Support Staff: MAs, cast techs
EMR: Epic
Must be board-certified or board-eligible
